Ray has had 53 years in radio broadcasting starting at 3XY and then 3AW, 3AK and 3MP. For over twenty years he’s been involved in community radio and for the past 17 years with Radio Eastern FM.
With a record collection of over 4,000 LP albums and hundreds of CD’S and other formats there is no shortage of music for his programmes on Wednesdays at 2.00pm or Sundays at 3.00pm.
Ray loves the old days of radio and its personalities and often interviews the great names as well as interesting people in our local community in the outer east.
The special people in his life include Angie, Jenny and David and his two grandchildren – Corey and Lexie.
Away from broadcasting his loves include – Melbourne’s old W-Class trams – science fiction – pussy cats.
Favourite colour is Red - singer is Frank Sinatra - and food includes all seafood, roast lamb. Black pudding, well most things really.
Loves a red too plus chocolate - although not necessarily together.
